Security Model
XMTP Encryption
All messages on the Oden Network are encrypted at the client level using XMTP's protocol. No server — not even Oden's own infrastructure — can read message content. Self-destruct functionality is irreversible: once a message timer expires, the data is wiped from both sender and recipient devices. There is no backup, no recovery, and no server-side copy. This is encryption by design, not by policy.
Zero-Knowledge Proofs
Anonymous posts on the XR Feed are verified as human without revealing the poster's wallet address or identity. ZK-Proofs allow mathematical verification that a user is a legitimate member of the network without exposing any identifying information. Privacy here is not a promise or a toggle in settings — it is mathematical. The protocol itself cannot identify you, even if compelled.
XR Voice Encryption
XR Group Voice uses wallet-signed P-256 ECDH identities to establish per-pair AES-GCM-256 session keys between every participant. Media streams travel peer-to-peer over DTLS-SRTP — the server is blind to every call. There is no call recording, no centralised relay, and no metadata stored. Audio exists only between the participants, in real time, with no copy anywhere else.
Smart Contract Security
All smart contracts governing the $XR token, staking, rewards, governance, and the Dead Man's Switch succession logic are being audited before token launch by independent security firms. Liquidity will be locked at launch. There are no admin keys that allow rug pulls, no backdoor functions, and no ability for any single party to drain funds. Audit reports will be published publicly and linked from this whitepaper upon completion.
Dead Man's Switch — Trustless Succession
The Dead Man's Switch contract on Base L2 holds no private keys and takes no custody of funds. The check-in mechanism is entirely on-chain — the contract only executes a transfer when the user's defined deadline is missed and the 7-day grace period expires. No third party can accelerate, cancel, or intercept the transfer. The code is the law, and the law is auditable by anyone.
